As we prepare to celebrate our eighth TEDxTraverseCity, we believe that this year provides an excellent opportunity for our audience to be inspired and challenged. We are at a pivotal time when our culture and society are being tested, as never before, in multiple ways.
NEW For TEDxTraverseCity 2018
For 2018, we are taking everything that makes TEDxTraverseCity great - a conscious and curious community, a first-rate venue, the power of incredible TEDx talks - and boldly aspiring to take it to a new level. To do this, we have partnered with FLI, a leading facilitation firm that helps transform the learning environment with communities around the world.
New this year, is an infusion of experiential learning moments, intentionally spaced throughout the day, allowing participants to more deeply connect with the inspiration and information delivered through the power of TEDxTraverseCity talks, as well as with each other. These experiential learning moments are designed using the latest evidence-based approaches, grounded in neuroscience, positive psychology, and leading social learning techniques.
Participants will have opportunities to reflect on and capture meaningful ideas, connect with each other through purposeful conversations, as well as explore the possibilities of new visions for themselves and their communities… all inspired and fueled by the power of what is lining up to be awe-inspiring TEDxTraverseCity.
Till next year!
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxTraverseCity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTraverseCity event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
Here's the latest from TEDxTraverseCity.
